Adventure Ashram's 2017 Christmas Appeal and The Big Give Christmas Challenge...

We want to raise £5000 to give Odanadi Seva Trust funds to stage a rescue of trafficked women and children.

Donate anytime between midday on 28th November and midday on 5th December.

We have seen first hand the crucial work done by Odanadi, removing vulnerable women and children from the hands of traffickers in south India, offering rehabilitation, care and hope. We are proud and humbled to support their work. Click here to read more about Odanadi.

What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge?

The Christmas Challenge, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Alec Reed CBE, is the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign which helps UK-registered charities raise funds for their cause.

For the first time, we are running our Christmas Appeal through the Big Give Christmas Challenge! An exciting step for us!

Here are the basics:

  • We submitted a project to the Big Give to raise £5000 for Odanadi to stage a rescue of trafficked women and children

  • The Big Give liked this project and...

  • We have been lucky enough to receive 'pledge promises' from a number of our supporters and 'match funding' from an organisation working in Human Rights...

What does this mean?

  • The Big Give Christmas Challenge GOES LIVE AT MIDDAY ON #GivingTuesday 28th NOVEMBER UNTIL MIDDAY ON TUESDAY 5TH DECEMBER.

  • During this week we ask you to make a donation to our Christmas Appeal AND...

  • THE MONEY YOU DONATE CAN BE DOUBLED, (YES DOUBLED) FROM THE PLEDGE PROMISES AND MATCH FUNDING AS ABOVE...

  • So in simple terms if you donate £10 it can become £20 and so on... AMAZING!

How do I donate?

  • Click on the 'Donate To Our Christmas Appeal' button at the top of this page and you will be taken directly to our Big Give Christmas Challenge page and click the donate button.

  • You will also be able to read more about our appeal too.

  • Don't forget the money you donate can be DOUBLED!

  • Remember after midday on December 5th you will not be able to donate.

£5,000 is a lot of money. Where is it all going?

  • Staging a rescue is a lengthy process, takes considerable planning and is costly:

  • For example, £1,000 is needed for the costs associated with bringing together all the necessary parties and surveillance teams headed up by the Directors of Odanadi.

  • Another £1,500 is used to provide each rescued child with expert medical and psychological care post rescue.

  • To see the full break down of all necessary costs visit our Big Give Christmas Appeal Project by clicking here and go to the 'Budget' tab towards the bottom of the page.

Thank you for helping us to raise money this Christmas to rescue women and children from situations that no-one should have to face.
