Margaret and Charlie are on their way to India

"We are off today to India to launch our latest volunteering opportunity - Family Volunteering. I will be using the time to visit our projects in Masinagudi and Mysore meeting Stanly, Solomon and Doc in person as well as doing a little teaching too. Charlie is going to take some film footage and photographs for Adventure Ashram. I will probably also be acting as his assistant!" - Margaret Interested in volunteering in India like Margaret and Charlie? The Spiti Valley Community Centre is open!

In the Spiti Valley, the snow is coming and the Kaza Community Centre is open and welcoming customers. This eco-friendly community centre is a focal point in the community and provides an essential meeting point for the people of the Spiti Valley. The Kaza Community Centre is equipped with a meeting hall, library, craft centre and kitchen, as well as a small homestay area with new beds and furniture built by local crafts men, which will help the centre become self-sustaining. A special thanks to all our adventurers who helped fund this fantastic project. We can’t wait for everyone to sleep there over night and experience the warmth and comfort. Deborah visits the Adventure Ashram office

Deborah came into the office today to tell us about her wonderful volunteer trip. She loved working with all the students and misses seeing their smiling faces everyday. Through first aid classes, she equipped dozens of students with essential health and safety training. Even while she is back at home, Deborah is going to continue to make a difference in India by writing a first aid manual for students. It is inspirational to see an adventurer so dedicated to giving back. Thank you for all your work, Deborah! WAR in action

This year's 2016 WAR rally was a huge success. Thousands of people came together to celebrate women, their strengths, and achievements. This rally is one day out of the year that men and women in Mysore ride through the streets on motorcycles, celebrating the progress that has been made toward gender equality. Interested in celebrating women’s equality and riding your motorcycle through Mysore next year? Stanly and Parashuram from Odanadi Seva Trust, organisers of the WAR rally, invite any adventurers to join the rally next year! Email info@adventureashram for more details.
