Stories From The Field. Meet Nivedha, one of the children from our Education Sponsorship Programme.

Hi Everyone, My name is Nivedha. I study in 10th standard and I am sincerely preparing for my public exam which is going to be held in April 2019. I live in Anaikatty village which is around 18 KM away from my school. My parents are daily wages workers and their income is irregular. Also my parents were illiterate they couldn’t help me in my home works. My village is located in the middle of the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve tribal settlement. So very rarely we have access to other villages or to our schools. Now we have an education center and a computer center in our village where we all children use them in the evening and do our home works and prepare for our exams by the help of tutor. This h

After months of surveillance, a raid took place last year, and 3 sisters aged 19, 17 and 15 were taken out of a brothel where they had been given drugs and forced to work as prostitutes by a notorious gang of traffickers. There is so much more to this harrowing story, but now with the help of Odanadi India and the funds we were able to send, the girls have been reunited with their mother and they have begun their rehabilitation. The gang members are in custody and awaiting trial. For many years Adventure Ashram has supp

We have a cocktail evening on the horizon! Wednesday 27th February 2019 in Tooting, south London.

We have partnered with Goldfinch, a hip and snug bar in Tooting, south London since last autumn. They created a glorious 'Adventure Ashram' cocktail and donated a percentage of each sale to our small but mighty charity, which raised enough funds to cover the cost of the education for one child from our Education Sponsorship Programme. Fantastic! Keen to help our projects further, they are generously arranging a cocktail evening and will donate a portion of profits from the evening to us! So, if you can, do pop in and have a drink, a great evening and raise funds for Adventure Ashram. More details to follow, but for now, pop the date in your diaries and HUGE thanks to Goldfinch. #goldfinchsw
