The Quest of Rajasthan:

Our search for a new project to support.

 

Adventure Ashram is embarking on a most exciting quest. It is looking for a new charity to support, with a focus on improving health or education in Rajasthan. This is inspired by the launch of a very special new car rally in Rajasthan, organised by our corporate partner, Nomadic Knights entitled the “The Best Exotic Classic Car Rally”  (click link for more details) the inaugural event is being held in February 2016. Before the trip, the adventurers will be be told of the vision and mission of the new charity and be given the opportunity to donate or raise money to support our new project in Rajasthan. During the trip a special visit to the charity will be planned giving adventurers the very first opportunity to see what a difference their support is making. 

How will we find the charity?
Through the Adventure Ashram adventurers community, the quest will be shared through conversations, email and social media leading to email applications from charities that match the criteria set out below. Please share on your own twitter, facebook pages and other channels.

The criteria
The charities considered by the trustees will;
- improve the health and education of the beneficiary group
- be a registered Indian charity with FCRA permanent permission
- be located within a 45 minute drive from Rathanbore Tiger Reserve and the town of Sawai Madhopur or 45 minute drive from the centre of Agra
- be able to provide a case study about how their work has improved the life of a beneficiary or a group of beneficiaries

The application process
Please email Fritha Vincent, Project Manager & Fundraiser at fritha@adventureashram.org and tell us about your charity, please include the charities vision statement, Indian Registered Charity certificate, FCRA code, full address, list of the team that works for the charity and include at least one case study. Please attach 6 low resolution images of your charities work to your email.

No applications will be accepted after Friday 17 July 2015. All applications will recieve a confirmation of receipt from Fritha.

Adventure Ashram Trustees will narrow down the list to 2 or 3 projects, which Fritha will visit in July. She will report back to the trustees at the September Trustee meeting and the charity will be chosen.

The winning charity will be notified and can expect a donation from Adventure Ashram via bank transfer in February 2016. It will be unrestricted and the amount is dependant on what is raised or donated by rally particpants.
