Adventure Ashram's Supporter Promise

Adventure Ashram is driven by the spirit of adventure and is proud to be supported by hundreds of adventurers who work alongside us in many ways from donating money, attending our fundraising events to volunteering for us both here and in India.

We give heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and every one!

As our supporters it is vital to us that you understand how valued you are and we make the following promises to you:

We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and will always abide by fundraising regulations, maintaining the highest standards of fundraising possible.

We will never sell your data to any other organisation. If on the rare occasion we may need to transfer data to a third party (an example of this is checking against the Telephone Preference Service) we will ensure that the organisation has a signed data processing agreement, ensuring that your data will be looked after by them as carefully as we do.

We will only contact you if you have ‘opted-in’ to being contacted by us and will only use the contact methods you have stipulated e.g. email, telephone etc.

If you contact us to advise that you no longer wish to hear from us, we will update our records within 5 working days.

We aim to make it as easy as possible for you to contact us whether it is to congratulate us on what you feel we are doing well or to make a complaint. Details of relevant people to contact can be found on our website contact page here.

To save costs we prefer to contact our supporters by email, so we encourage our supporters to select this option. However, if you would like us to contact you in a different way, for example by post, we will of course honour this.

We will never approach anyone under the age of 18 (where it is reasonable to assume we were certain of their age) to ask for financial donations or other ways they could support our charity.

In all communications with our supporters we will be clear, honest and provide relevant information for each person to be able to make an informed choice about whether to participate.

Our ethics statement is clearly written, detailed, reviewed quarterly and available for all our supporters to read on our website here.
